The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Group

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a wide array of heroes, and a thrilling plot featuring celestial beings, evil spirits, and sinister influences expanding in power within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Revealing details for the third episode of Campaign 4 are included.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

Episode 3 concluded with a major cliffhanger and revealed the premier party of adventurers who will separate from the main group to undertake their own adventure, distinct from the additional parties.

This warrior group features Teor (played by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).

The Reason for Division

Considering a large ensemble, it was obvious from the start that keeping everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Overture, weaving together the personal journeys before dividing into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Schemers, and Seekers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

According to the DM, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who are drawn to a classically intense battle-oriented story mode where non-violent answers are rare.

Initially, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might look out of place, but the developments of episode 3 demonstrate why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the group has a clear idea where to proceed after a violent initial meeting with the enemy group.

Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose demise initiated the campaign’s events—used The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, entering Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the character, and swiping all the powerful objects to sell off.

The traitor then settled his liabilities and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, above the urban center, with Teor’s brother close behind.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each member has a personal reason to depart the metropolitan area:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and best friend, seeks vengeance.
  • Kattigan is familiar with the northern area and warns that it is a nasty location.
  • The warrior and The healer, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate Teor and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their reputation as prominent individuals in the powerful family could help the group enter places they normally couldn’t.
  • Furthermore, The fighter pledged a life debt to Wicander for his rescue and will now follow him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are sought by the authorities that govern the setting for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city too risky:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • Tyranny and The cleric turned against House Halovar and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is wanted dead by the family.

This results in them no alternative but to journey toward the remote area in pursuit of the traitor.

Upcoming Developments

Based on the latest episode’s post-show segment, we find out that the combat party will not appear the following episode, leaving the other eight players to round up the Seekers and Schemers tables.

Audiences can look forward to finding out which characters will be assigned to which table in the story’s last Overture episode, streaming live on next week.
